BIO
Ashley Caitlyn Koran is a self-taught reemerging artist and mother of two based in Frisco, TX. She is re-entering the art world with a new found faith. Seeing painting as what healed her from her traumas and led her to discover her faith, she explores the boundary between impressionism and abstraction, and uses texture as a language on its own. In the past, she was part of several shows, exhibited in a few galleries, and did various mural work. She is back now and has two paintings permanently displayed at the Beacon in the Rail District and hopes to get back into her passion. Through abstraction and texture, she invites viewers into a contemplative space - a place to pause, reflect, and encounter something beyond the visible. Her hope is that each painting feels less like an image and more like a sacred landscape of the heart.
